Israeli dissent: ‘Israel is like the abused child who grows up to be the abuser.’

By Elizabeth Molchany

The 1967 war between Israel and Egypt, Jordan, and Syria was born of a lie that Israel had to wage a pre-emptive attack to defend itself, much as George Bush said the US had to wage a pre-emptive attack against Iraq because it had weapons of mass destruction.

Declassified documents in recent years of statements by Israeli Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan reveal the contrary. Since then, in violation of more than 100 UN resolutions and the Geneva Conventions, not to mention the international standard of unlawful aggression the US held Iraq to as justification for the first Gulf War in 1991, Israel has retained control of the Occupied Territories it captured in 1967 and committed numerous atrocities reported in its own media, to which the US is complicit in its American-made, Americanpaid DC9 Caterpillars, F16s, and Apache helicopters, among other weapons.

The Occupied Territories includes the Gaza Strip, a small 25 x 6 mile area bordering the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, inhabited by 1.5 million Palestinians, 20 percent of whom and their forefathers have lived there for centuries. Eighty percent are refugees created when 750,000 Palestinians were forced or fled in fear from their homes in what is now Israel in April 1948, before the first Arab-Israeli war. They and their forefathers had lived there for 1600 years since the 7th century.

For 42 years, Israel has had tight control over Gaza, making it the world’s largest prison. No one may leave or enter without an Israeli permit. When its troops left in 2005, Israel left 44 acres of massive rubble when it demolished Jewish-only housing rather than leave it for the Gazans to use as an act of good faith since it had illegally occupied the land so long.

But Israel retained control of Gaza’s air, land, and sea, and the money they earn on produce and other products, and imposed a blockade on food, fuel, water, electricity, medicine, even ink and paper and parts and supplies necessary for a viable economy.

Because of this, thousands of Palestinians are starving, hopeless, and helpless. It is the middle of winter, they are freezing and without fuel, food or money. In an open and democratic election in 2005, Hamas was elected.

Hamas has refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist based on Israel’s refusal to accept the existence of a Palestinian state and their rights to human dignity, freedom and security. Despite this, Hamas immediately offered Israel a 10-year ceasefire and acceptance of a 2-state solution if Israel would agree to return to the 1967 borders. Israel refused. Hamas abided by its own 18-month unilateral truce.

In June 2008, Hamas and Israel agreed to a 6-month truce during which Israel was to relax its blockade.

Israel immediately breached that part, and would not even allow Gazans to fish within 3 miles of their own coast without a permit, stringently enforced.

On November 4, Israel again breached the truce by entering Gaza, killing 6 Palestinians, and sealing the borders, denying food and all necessities, foreign journalists and dignitaries, including President Carter. On Dec 27, Israel launched its massive assault despite the fact that not one Israeli had died during the past year from a Qassam Rocket. Hamas responded with its only weapons, Qassam Rockets, killing 4 Israelis. Since Israel’s attack with American weapons, hundreds of Palestinians have been killed, 3,000 wounded, and their entire infrastructure destroyed or seriously damaged, including homes, the American school, the university, dormitories, stores, markets, fishing boats, the Gaza mental heath center. This massacre, planned six months in advance, is not about Hamas or rockets but about Israel’s upcoming elections and denying the right of a Palestinian state. On January 14, nine Israeli human rights organizations issued a letter stating that “This kind of fighting constitutes a blatant violation of the laws of warfare and raises the suspicion, which we ask be investigated, of the commission of war crimes.” See its accompanying report on “The Humanitarian Collapse in the Gaza Strip.”

Had Israel wanted peace, it would have returned the occupied territories to the Palestinians, the rightful owners under international law; it would have accepted the Saudi peace initiatives offered in 2002 and 2007, which all 21 Arab states signed, recognizing Israel and offering it permanent peace in return for an Israeli withdrawal from lands captured in 1967, establishing a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and a just solution to the issue of Palestinian refugees.

Each time, Israel said no, contradicting the notion Israel alone seeks a just and peaceful solution to regional issues. and

Please do not rely on the mainstream US media – you will not find the truth there. Research the alternative media on the Internet and other sources, such as Link and Free Speech TV’s “Democracy Now” daily news show, online sources such as Jewish Voices for Peace, the Electronic Intifada, or England’s print media The Independence and The Observer, which are also available online, as are the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz, and Israeli organizations such “Gush Shalom,” “B’tselem” and “Breaking the Silence: Israeli Soldiers Talk About the Occupied” – the latter at

As one Israeli conscientious objector recently stated in a “Democracy Now” interview after being released from prison, “At least in Israel there is debate over the actions of the right-wing government, in the US you don’t even get that.”

  1. Excellent article – stating the facts -on what led up to the present destruction of Gaza and what is happening now. Americans need to research for themselves and not rely on the TV to tell them what is happening in Gaza as so much of it is Israeli Propaganda. Shame on the Congress for supporting Israel and the taking of so many innocent lives. What is happening to our humanity – why are we not supporting basic human rights for all – and instead siding with an Apartheid state with our money and military equipment.

  4. You article is nothing but arab lies and propaganda.
You version of history is pure nonsense.

I will give one, of many possible examples of your nonsense.

    From your “article”:
“Hamas has refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist based on Israel’s refusal to accept the existence of a Palestinian state ”

Israel accepted a palestinian state in 1948 when it accepted UN resolution 181 which created bothe Israel and a separate palestinian state. Fact.
It was the arabs who refused to accept UN 181, not Israel. Fact.
It was the arabs who refused the Palestinian state, not Israel.
That’s an incontrovertible and well documented fact, that belies your arab inspired nonsense.

    • John,

“Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don’t worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it.” – Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, October 3, 2001, quoted from the Independent Palestinian Information Network and the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs.

You are seriously confused about who is giving the orders to whom and who is doing the dirty work.

  10. As the world,s leading power, it is in our utmost and vital interest to see the rest of the world weak and divided.

We are very lucky and blessed to have found a nation which is willing to do all our dirty work for US. Including the sacrifice of their people and shedding of their children’s blood.

For a mere $15 to $25 billion dollars a year, and a tiny piece of land which is theirs today and will be gone tomorrow, the Jews are willing to fight for US and protect every inch of our rights and interests in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world.

We can rely on them and they are willing to attack anybody anywhere upon our orders, anytime…!

    Talk about man’s best friend…!

They train all year, day and night waiting for our orders. Today Lebanon, tomorrow Gaza, soon Iran and so on and so forth.

As long as we keep those billions pouring in, and use our veto power at the United Nations in their defense, they never complain or reject any of our orders.

No Arab Nation will do what Israel is doing for US.

Thank you Israel and keep up the good work. Let us know if you need more money or weapons…!

  11. @ Michael Allen

Perhaps Elizabeth’s reference to Israel’s refusal to acknowledge the existence of the Palestinian state refers not to the politics around Resolution 181, but the current facts, which are that Israel behaves as if it has an absolute to control Palestinian movements within their own territory, trade and commerce, free movement, passage of essential goods, etc. Israel, in defiance of its own commitments, continues to annex Palestinian lands for illegal settlements and the construction of its security barrrier (which could have been built not deep within the West Bank itself on Palestinian land but on the internationally recognised Green Line.)

It has not recognised that, however unpleasant many of their policies and conduct are, Hamas is the democratically elected government of Gaza. Palestinians vote for Hamas in part because Hamas provides many of the basic social services which Israel tries to block.

In other words, IN PRACTICE Israel does not recognise the territorial integrity or sovereignty of the Palestinians. So Israel’s rhetorical acceptance of the rights of the Palestinian state means nothing.

@ Elizabeth, very small point, The newspaper in the UK is the Independent (not Independence). The Observer is the Sunday sister paper to the daily Guardian, which is probably more reliable than the Observer (which supported the Iraq war, based on naive acceptance of intelligence data fed to them by US and UK security sources – this is carefully documented in the Nick Davies book, Flat Earth News).

    Thank you.

  12. The entire so-called state of israel was created on nothing but lies from day one.
If it wasn’t for President Truman who applied pressure on some third world countries who depended on the US for their mere existance, to vote for israel’s creation at the United Nation, there will not be an israel today…!
Not only Truman lied, he also convinced the rest of our western allies, that it will be much better to shed the jewish blood to keep the Middle East divided and weak…!
In fact, as Americans, we should be very happy and grateful to the jews who are being killed in Palestine and elsewhere, to do our dirty work. To keep the Arabs weak and divided and keep our oil coming in for less than 10% of what it will cost us to produce our own.
Thank you israel for sacrificing your men and women for our welfare and safety…!

  13. Until the stupid Bush came to power, we didn’t need to send any of our boys to fight and shed their blood in the Middle East.
israel has always been willing, for a mere 15 to 25 billion dollars a year, to do exactly what we want them to do, anywhere and anytime…!
They did it in 1957 in the Suez Canal, in 1967 all over the Middle East and since then in Lebanon, Gaza and soon in Iran. I have never seen people who are willing to die and shed their children’s blood, for money!
God bless you israel, just let us know if you need more money and weapons…!

  14. Wow, sometimes i wonder if people are retarded. But in this case, i do know that you are one of thoes retards.

Why defend a country, a country who was cheering and was happy when 9/11 took place.
A country whos population voted for a terror organisation to run their lifes.
A country who hides weapons in their houses, schools and uses their children as human-shields and suicidebombers.
A country that has send thousands of rockets into israel, killing civiliance.
A country where they train their kids while they are 5 years old to hold a weapon and teaches them to hate Israel.

Let me now ask you a question

How would you react if your nighbours fired rockets at you, in 50 years, fighting you, kiddnapped your relatives and beheaded them. Wouldnt you be mad? Wouldnt you strike back?

I guess Israel had enogh of this. And please read history before you come with comments like “occupation” and so on …

  15. It is time that Israel is recognized as an IMMANENT THREAT to Humanity. Israel is armed with every WMD Weapon of Mass Destruction known to man including 2-400 secret Nuclear warheads built with material STOLEN from America. Israel is insane from 3,500 years of “biblically mandated” inbreeding, Israel Threatens LIFE on Earth. For thousands of years Israel has believed they are the “Chosen People of GOD”. That belief alone should be a warning flag to any NON-Jew. For thousands of years the Jews have believed that to BE a Jew, The parents must BOTH be Jewish, the mother determines that one IS a Jew, the father determines which “tribe” one belongs to. This belief has led to mental illness from inbreeding. These people now are engaging in GENOCIDE and declaring it to be “justified” under THEIR religious beliefs. Today, Gaza, tomorrow they NUKE Europe !? Israel is engaging in War Crimes and Aggressive War against non-Jews, whom they denigrate and DEHUMANIZE as GENTILES, GOYIM, SISHKAS.
Israel allied with APARTHEID South Africa, trading weapons and torture techniques with those “supremists”, when the CIVILIZED world shunned them. Now Israel has allied with the DEATH CULTISTS of the “Rapture”. They call themselves “Christian/Zionists” which is an oxymoron, you CANNOT be Christian/ANTI-Christian at the same time. These “rapture” Prophets for PROFIT are ANTI-Christ DEATH CULTISTS. God/Jesus placed you in this LIFE to learn “soul lessons”, to increase your consciousness to the point of Redemption. These JUDAS GOATS REJECT the LIFE God gave you, and dangle a False Path in front of people, just as SATAN dangled Temptation in front of Jesus. Do not follow the ANTI-Christ lies of FALSE prophets. Their “shortcut” of cheating God’s lessons does NOT lead to Heaven, any more than cheating on school work teaches you the subject.
Rapture belief should also be considered a sign of if not an actual mental illness. The believer is not only rejecting reality, they are rejecting LIFE.
Recognize it as the DEATH CULT that it is, and keep the believer from any position of power or authority, as their “ANTI life outlook” is inimical to God Given Life..

All civilians living in Gaza are collectively guilty for Kassam attacks on Sderot, former Sephardi chief rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu has written in a letter to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Eliyahu ruled that there was absolutely no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians during a potential massive military offensive on Gaza aimed at stopping the rocket launchings.
    April 10, 2008
“All of the Palestinians must be killed; men, women, infants, and even their beasts.” This was the religious opinion issued one week ago by Rabbi Yisrael Rosen, director of the Tsomet Institute, a long-established religious institute attended by students and soldiers in the Israeli settlements of the West Bank. In an article published by numerous religious Israeli newspapers two weeks ago and run by the liberal Haaretz on 26 March, Rosen asserted that there is evidence in the Torah to justify this stand.

  16. Mr. Allen,

Your dismissal of this well-argued analysis as “propaganda and nonsense” is irrational and unjustified. Get your own facts straight — UN Resolution 181 was the General Assembly’s decision to partition Palestine into Jewish and Arab states at behest of the British without any input or consideration for the rights of its majority Arab population.

Palestinians already had their “state” before it was carved up by a handful of major powers pulling the levers at the UN. The sad “fact” is that not much has changed since then.

  17. John M. Hovsepian,

The notion that Israel is a factor in reducing oil prices is entirely unsupportable. In actaullity, the endless wars for Israel have been the primary cause of oil price hikes over the years due to markets fearing destabilisation and disruption. This reality is easy to track and has been documented in academic studies.

  18. John M. Hovsepian,

Can you cite any war that Israel engaged in that served US interests? The 57′ Suez invasion that you cite was opposed by the US. Attacking America’s puppets, Jordan and Lebanon, in 67′ was contrary to US geopolitical interests and aided the Soviet influence in the region. In fact Israel has never been of any use whatsoever for US aims.

  19. How much longer will these needless wars led by Israel continue? Will it ‘change’ under Obama? Highly doubtful, after his ‘no comment’ about Palestine. Israel already owns Obama after he picked Rahm Emanuel, the son of a terrorist, as Chief of Staff. Obama will probably let Mossad slide on their 9/11 involvement and Obama will continue Middle East wars. So who won the US election? Israel did, as always.
    9/11 and Israel, here:

  20. A few days ago, President Bush 43, invided the three previous president and the president-elect Obama, to the white house for a small conference.

The main purpose of the meeting was to indoctrinate the pro Arab Obama with the “New World Order”.
They explained to Mr. Obama that whatever his true feelings are and regardless how he felt towards the Palestinians in particular and the rest of the Arab world in general, when it came to what is best for America and “the new world order”, is to back and support Israel 100%, regardless.

In the meantime, Mr. Obama was instructed to obey the rules for his own sake and make sure that Israel gets its billions of dollars every year to fight wars on our behalf and make sure that our oil is secured and supply of world intelligence, up to date.

“You do all this” they said, “regardless how stupid you are, you will be guaranteed a second term in the white House”. and then they added, “If you don’t, look what happened to the anti-semite Jimmy Carter…!”

  21. If the Jews had picked another mythological land to live in, none of this would be happening now.

If the Jews who wrote the so-called mythological bible and promised Palestine to themselves had picked another piece of land somewhere in Madagascar, we wouldn’t be having all these killings and atrocities!

Therefore, before any of you open your big mouths and pour nonsense out, just go to the source and see what is causing all these headaches!

As usual, the Jews sacrificed 6 millon of their people (even though there were less than 6 million Jews in the entire world those days) when they spied for the allies who promised to give them Palestine for a homeland.

Since history repeats itself, now the Jews are doing exactly the same thing to please the US and its Western allies. They are doing their best to keep the Arab world divided and weak.

So, the world should not be surprised if one day, the Arab world unites and do unto the Jews what they are now doing unto the Palestinians. I am affraid, this time, what Hitler did would look like a picnic…!

  22. I have been to the occupied territories, and have seen the persecution of the Palestinian people by Israelis. Christians as well as Muslims are seeing their land and water taken to illegally expand a state for one ethnic group alone.

It is time for Americans to realize that the warm and generous Palestinian people are not the demonic enemies our press has made them out to be. They are victims of an ethnic cleansing that began more than 60 years ago with the massacre of unarmed men, women and children at Deir Yassin, and continues today in Gaza. Our money and weapons make Israel’s aggression possible.

Thanks to Ms. Molchany for this insightful piece.

  23. Dr. Dan
We the US and our Western allies created the so-called state of israel, in the heart of the Arab world, to keep the Arabs weak and divided.

For the mere 15 to 25 billion dollars that we pay israel every year, that is the least that they can do to please US and do our dirty work for US.

Most of the jews don’t like to see their children shed their blood to please the Western powere. But, in the meantime, when 6 million of them were massacred by Hitler because they were spying for the Allies, we promised to give them Palestine and support them all the way…!

Now, any politician running for the office of President or any other position in any Government position, has no choice but support the jews if he wants to make it.

The banks are in their hands, they control both the congress and the Senate. They control all the school system, every Hospital, all of Hollywood etc. etc.

This is exactly what the jews were doing in Germany and Europe before Hitler came to power. May be it is time for this country to welcome a new HITLER!!

  24. to Susanne Holder
When any of the Christian denominations in Jerusalem walked from their Convents to the Holy Sepulchre in a procession on Sunday, all the Moslems stand up, take their hats off and bow to the Cross.
The jews attack priests and Bishops and constantly spit at the cross and make fun of the procession! Don’t forget, these are the same people who crusified our Lord Jesus…!

  25. “All of the Palestinians must be killed”.
The person who wrote that must be a coward jew for not mentioning his/her name.
No wonder why, jews have been persecuted and massacred by the thousands from the beginning of time?.
Even jews hate jews and the first chance they get they will kill and destroy each other.
Hitler was not the first to cleanse the jews and HE will not be the last.
Their next trip will be with the hands of the Arabs and the help of America.
The US and its allies created israel and made it powerful in order to see all the jews in their countries end up there.
Now that most of them are gathered in Palestine, the US and its allies are working very hard to cleanse the last of this germ…!
“History repeats itself” nothing more and nothing less!

  26. The reason why Israel is not allowing any reporters inside Gaza, is because the jews are being massacred by the hundreds every hour.
Israel lost over 10,000 men in Lebanon agains Hizb-Allah in 2006.
The situation in Gaza is very similar and the Hamas fighters have all been trained by Hizb-Allah in Lebanon or by the Iranian National guards in Iran.
Unlike the cowardly jews, the Palestinians are fighters with the heart of a lion. Death for them is Holy and sacred and they are willing to sacrifice the last drop of their blood for their cause.
jews by nature are cowardly people and so far, they have had over 3,000 soldiers desert the Gaza war. As a matter of fact, the israeli officers have so far shot and killed over 150 deserting jewish soldiers, while on the run…!
These are all 100% true facts coming from jewish people inside israel…! As a matter of fact the jews are planning a huge demonstration in TelAviv this coming Sunday…!

  27. To Mr. Allen,
If the Jews had been living in Palestine all these years and a bunch of Arabs moved in without being invited and the UN had passed a resolution giving 55% of Jewish land to the new Arabs, would you:
    1. Think this was just solution to this land dispute?
    2. Would you agree to this resolution?
Of course not, and neither should the Palestinians agree to this. Especially when the Jewish immigrants only owned 7% of Palestine.
Britain had promised Palestine would be Palestinian during WW1 and again in their 1939 “White Paper.” What a shame Britain didn’t follow up on either ocassion. Shame on Britain, and now shame on our government.

  28. What the jews are claiming in Palestine is purely mythological garbage that supposedly goes back 5,000 years. It has to do with a so-called bible written by four jews promising the land to themselves.

I can see that if the bible was written by the Indians or Pakistanies and promised to the jews…!

Having said that, and if the entire world has to follow that mythology, we have a situation here in the US that is less than few hundred years old and nothing mythological about it.

How would the Americans like it when the entire world gets together at the UN and hand over America to real Red Indian natives of the land.

If we should believe in a mythological story written 5 thousands years ago with absolutely NO proof what-so-ever, nothing should stop us from handing this land over to the Native Americans, supply them with the most sophisticated war planes, tanks, weapons and top level intelligence, and help them in killing every none Native American and throw the rest in refugee tents all over Europe, Canada and Mexico…!

Even a five year old kid would laugh at US!

  30. […] The history of the policy in Gaza is important, even though average Americans are not experts on this history, and should not have to be. Those we do expect to understand this history apparently do not. Most mainstream pundits are either unfamiliar with the history, deny the facts, or choose to tell only the “winning” side, as AIPAC and the Israeli government would have it told. Thus Robert Scheer’s question. […]

  31. To Midnight!

Many, many years ago, I too used to be more moderate and lean like you.

But that was years ago, and nothing good has happened since then. On the contrary, thousands of more Palestinians have been massacred by the jews and they have gotten away with more than 100 UN resolutions against them, which the US vetoed!

I can assure you, if the jews had killed immediate family members and childhood friends of yours, taken your ancestral home and property of yours at gun-point and thrown you our of your country and home, you will not be sitting thre saying these things.

  32. To Gunny G.

When the entire news media, the press and TV stations are owned and or controled by zionist jews, how can you expect anybody in the US to find out about history or what is going on elsewhere in this world???

All we could do, at this stage, wait for a miracle to happen and God send us a Pophet like HITLER!

  33. Dear Sharmoot,I can guarantee You that I have enough life experiences to know different levels of pain as I said it does not have to be the same,I am just making sure that our reactions don t make us behave as badly as the ones at fault,I saw people burned because they were not white,I have been hearth and abused just for being white and more,so please I am not judging, careful,You seem intelligent

  34. The French philosopher Voltaire once said, “Those who can make us believe absurdities, can also cause us to commit atrocities.”

Israel’s unconscienable aggression, over the past six decades, against a people who had nothing to do with the European holocaust – and my own country’s support of these “crimes against humanity” – have been based on a long litany of “absurdities.”

I thank Ms. Molchaney for the thoughtful and WELL DOCUMENTED contribution she’s made to the cause of truth and justice!

  35. I have read the Molchany article published in the Warren County Report newspaper. I found it brilliant, accurate, and a rare honest look at the depredations committed by Israel on a totally outmatched population in Gaza. Israel is able to wreak havoc, rain phosphorus bombs on women and children, demolish homes, flatten entire neighborhoods, all thanks to unlimited armaments and murdering helicopters provided and paid for by the US taxpapers.
For the 100 US Senators, each of whom has been bamboozled, intimidated and brainwashed, we need to send even more arms for Israel to do its dirty work. Is it just a coincidence that the entire world outside Israel and the U.S. is totally repelled by Israeli’s inhumane behavior? Not at all. Israel has made it a successful policy to exert all possible influence on an effective and willing patron, and that is the U.S. Our Senators and our political candidates, down to the lowest levels, are offered friendship tours to Israel, where they are shown only one side of the situation. These so-called veteran observers then return to their American homes and prattle on with the cliches and garbage about “Israel is our only ally in the Middle East,” or “Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East.”
We have earned the enmity of most of the world community, and in the case of radical Islamists, they have parlayed this negativity into horrendous anti-American actions such as the 9/11 bombings.

As indicated to me by an Israeli newspaper columnist during my recent visit to Israel and to Palestine (paid for from my own pocket), the simplest path to peace in the Middle East is to cut off the outlandish sums American taxpayers are providing Israel year after year. Certainly that would have some effect on the Israeli killing machine.

There are a few (such as the one named Pola in one of the above letters) who asks how we Americans would feel if rockets were lobbed over our lands for unending years. My answer to Pola and to like-minded Jewish propagandists is to ask: If your land is illegally occupied, contrary to a multitude of UN resolutions, and contrary to international law, and if talk won’t right this wrong, what are you supposed to do? When the Germans occupied France in the second war, the French Resistance took actions far more lethal than the harmless Hamas rockets. The way the Germans responded was to execute the population of entire villages (Oradour-sur-Glane is a good example). How does the present and disproportionate outrage by the Israeli forces differ from the German occupiers in France?
“Pola” accuses Molchany to be a “retard”. Molchany’s detailed article speaks for itself. As for Pola, I would not call her a retard, but a cheap propagandist.

  36. To Fran Sarguis

I read your column and thank you for your pro Palestinian feelings, thoughts and concerns.

Unfortunately this problem is much deeper than what any average Americancan can see or understand.

To find a solution to this very serious problem is very simple. You should go to the original source and look into what is causing the problem.

The Jews helped the allies during WW2 by spying on Hitler. In return Hitler started cleansing the Jews.
The Allies took action to save the Jews but it was a little late. Close to 300,000 Jews were massacred with millions of other enemies of Hitler.

Once Hitler was under controle, the Allies realized that the Arabs had started discovering oil and soon they will be a vital threat to the West.

That is when the US and its European allies decided to create Israel in the heart of the Arab world, to make sure that the Arabs are kept weak and divided.

The manovering that Truman played at the UN was very smart and damaging to the Arabs. He threatened all those third world countries to vote for the creation of Israel or lose all the aid they were receiving from the US.

Right here, you can noticed that the creation of Israel based on a mythological phenomenon is totally absurd and ridiculous. Less than 7% of the population of Palestine were Jews around the turn of the last century. Now they have 15 million Jews who came from all over the world to live in a land that was never theirs…!

  37. I read an article by Pat Buchanan today that made my hair stand up.
Condi Rice prepares a resolution about the ceace-fire in Gaza and is about to put it for a vote at the UN. The Israeli ambassador at the UN finds out about the contends and calls Olmert immediately.
Apparently, there was one line in the resolution that did not give enough praise for the Israeli actions in Gaza. Mind you, nothing harsh about Israel, just not enough praise for their atrocities…!
Olmert calls Pres. Bush immediately and is told that Bush is in the middle of a speech in Philadelphia and cannot be interrupted.
Olmert says “just tell him that I want to speak to him”. Bush interrupts his speech and goes and picks-up the phone.
Olmert says “just tell that bitch to vote against that resolution and veto it”.
Bush apologizes and calls Rice immediately and orders her to veto the resolution.
Condi Rice, that earlier in the day had asked all the US allies to vote for the resolution, looked like an idiot when she stood there at the UN and voted against her own resolution!
What has happened to our America??????? God help US!

  38. Anybody who thinks that Israel reeives only 3 to 5 billion dollars a year from the US has a lot more to learn.
Junt for weapons etc.Israel gets over 10 billion dollars from the US a year.
They also get billions everytime they have to give up a settlement and move to another. They get money for what they leave behind and more money for what they need to build a new one, elsewhere. And only God knows about all the money that exchanges hands under the tables all over Israel. From the Prime Minister to the sanitation person in the street are on the take in Israel.
Now, this is something that only few people know. For every item of food (cans, packages etc) that is labeled with “K” for kosher, anywhere in the US and the rest of the world, Israel used to get 5 cents and now it has gone up to 12 cents per item. Can you imagine how much money that makes??.
In short, every Jew in Israel receives an average of $29,743.00 from our hard earned tax money, every year…!

  39. VIENNA, Austria – Arab nations accused Israel on Monday of blasting Gaza with ammunition containing depleted uranium and urged the International Atomic Energy Agency to investigate reports that traces of it had been found in victims of the shelling.

In a letter on behalf of Arab ambassadors accredited in Austria, Prince Mansour Al-Saoud, the Saudi Ambassador, expressed “our deep concern regarding the information … that traces of depleted uranium have been found in Palestinian victims.”

A final draft of the letter was made available to The Associated Press on Monday. It urgently requested IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei to “carry out a radiological and physical assessment in order to verify the presence of depleted uranium in the weaponry used by Israel … in the Gaza Strip.”

Officials at the Israeli mission to the IAEA said they were in no position to comment without having seen the letter.

IAEA spokeswoman Melissa Fleming confirmed receipt of the letter and said a response might be issued later in the day.

The letter — which spoke of “medical and media sources” as the origin of its allegations — appeared to be alluding to health concerns related to depleted uranium but the effects of exposure to the substance are unclear.

An IAEA article on the issue says that while the substance “is assumed to be potentially carcinogenic … the lack of evidence for a definite cancer risk in studies over many decades is significant and should put the results of assessments in perspective.”

Still, says the article, “there is a risk of developing cancer from exposure to radiation emitted by … depleted uranium. This risk is assumed to be proportional to the dose received.”

It is not the first time Israel has been accused of using ordnance containing depleted uranium, which makes shells and bombs harder and increases their penetrating power. The Israeli army declined comment. But the U.S. and NATO have used uranium-depleted rounds in Bosnia and Iraq.

According to the World Health Organization, the weapons are lightly radioactive, though “under most circumstances, use of DU will make a negligible contribution to the overall natural background levels of uranium in the environment.”

But researchers have suspected depleted uranium may be behind a range of chronic symptoms suffered by veterans of the 1990-91 Gulf War. Some of the symptoms include memory and thinking problems, debilitating fatigue, severe muscle and joint pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, headaches and rashes.

Syria, which is being investigated by the Vienna-based agency for alleged secret nuclear activities, says traces of uranium found by IAEA experts at a site bombed by Israel jets Sept. 6, 2007 likely came from bombs or missiles used by the Israelis.

The Israelis have denied using such weaponry in that raid, and on Monday two diplomats accredited to the IAEA and familiar with its Syria investigations told the AP that the agency has virtually ruled out Israeli munitions as the source of the uranium. They asked for anonymity for discussing confidential information.

The IAEA investigation is based in part on intelligence from the U.S., Israel and a third, unidentified country, alleging that the bombed site was a nearly completed nuclear reactor built with North Korean help and meant to produce plutonium — which can be used as the payload of nuclear weapons.

The uranium traces were revealed by an analysis of environmental samples collected by IAEA experts during a visit to the site, in a remote part of the Syrian desert. Since that initial trip in June 2008, Syria has refused or deflected requests for follow up inspections both to the site and others allegedly linked to it.

  40. This is the year when we will make and implement all the major long term decisions that are going to safeguard and equip Britain properly for the future.

  41. The New Jerusalem: Zionist Power in America is an eyeopening inside look at the American Zionist elite today, the most thorough, fact-filled comprehensive up-to-date overview on the subject yet published. Here, between two covers for the first time is hard data and information, taken primarily from mainstream pro-Zionist sources, relating to the power of the Zionist elite in America today . . .

This one-of-a-kind survey doesn’t focus on the “Israeli lobby” or on the historic role of the Zionists in intrigues of the past. There are lots of books, and some very good books, on those subjects. Instead, The New Jerusalem examines, in stark detail, the incredible array of wealth and clout of the American Zionist community, demonstrating, beyond any question, that the Zionists undeniably constitute the “power elite” in the United States today . . .

And we’re not just referring to their well-known influence over the American media. A lot of folks have written about that . . . Instead, The New Jerusalem goes much, much farther . . . For the average individual to assemble this information would cost hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars and dozens of hours of research . . .

Many of the books cited are out of print and hard to find, but Mike’s sources are all “mainstream” authors and sources and all pro- Zionist. This is an invaluable resource volume you’ll refer to time and again in debating with friend and foe alike, writing letters to the editors of local newspapers, calling radio talk shows and in the course of research. Here are just some of the highlights . . .

A detailed overview of some 200 major Zionist families . . . Who they are. What they own. Where and how they made their vast fortunes. Some names you’ll recognize. Many you won’t. This is the first time EVER that this information is being made available to grass-roots Americans. You’ll be amazed at the details that Mike has compiled . . . Hundreds of cold, hard facts and figures about the sources of Zionist wealth and power in America . . . The industries they dominate; Their impact on culture and society; Their vast influence on the education system; The names of Zionist political action committees; How Zionist voting power is magnified . . .
The first-ever complete accounting of the Zionist names appearing in the most recent (2004) list of the famous Forbes 400 list of the billionaires and mega-millionaires in America today – available nowhere except in the pages of The New Jerusalem (and not even in Forbes itself!).

    • Check out this video! Go to and type in “Occupation 101”. I find this very sad and questionable. God Almighty is all knowing!

  42. Thankyou, Dear Elizabeth, for your very succinct and insightful …not to mention courageous…article. You’ve said it about as clearly as it can be said.
It is time to divest from this treacherous brat-child we have raised and see to our own needs! Beaten-child syndrome is no defense for murder, let alone Genocide!.

  43. We in the USA used to be an honest and fair country defending the underdog and going after the Hitlers of this world.

All that came to an end when we chose the so-called state of Israel to run, operate and decide our foreign policy, intelligence and strategy.

That is when we learned to lie and fabricate excuses to attack, kill and destroy innocent people and countries…!

  44. To Michael Allen,
The so-called israel has absolutely NO right to exist in somebody elses country.
History repeats itself and nobody including the USA will remain on this earth, for ever.
The moment that happens, it will be goodbye for the zionist fabrcated mythological fairy tale. It will be so bad, that the jews will wish that Hitler was back…!

  45. Without a doubt, Captain Chesley Sullenberger is a hero and did a great job saving that plane and those 155 people.
Out of the thousands and thousands of letters that Sullenberger received the only one read in public was the one from the so-called holocausrt survivor who had nothing to do with the entire story. It reminded me of all those “holocaust” stories written by jews who were born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. and were not even born during WW2!
Enough is enough: how much longer are we going to listen and put up with this BS holocaust bologni when there were less than 5 million jews in the entire universe during WW2…! There were 2.8 million jews in the US alone those days! Please give US a break…!

  47. In Canada too, these Zionist neo-cons try to subvert some openly, and others using underhanded means like Brad Kostynuik.

Brad Kostynuik alias “Wharold” demonises Palestinians, Arabs, Islam, and posts on many talkbacks in right wing extremist websites, revises Zionist history under different aliases, namely “Wharold”. Brandi Dickman a Jewish woman, is Brad’s wife and is also a partner there. Brad is a Christian, and calls himself a Noahide.

This is Brad Kostynuik’s professional life website in his official persona

This is his smear site, at WordPress where he smears Obama, and Palestinians,.

Here is a picture of Brandi Dickman, Brad’s wife

    Brad Kostynuik son Ethan

Brad Kostynuik keeps his double life of hate and racism about President Obama, Palestinans, Moslems, and creates anti Obama art which he distributes to his fellow Likud extremists.

Brad Kostynuik posts in talkbacks and commentaries at various right wing websites using the alias “Wharold”.

  48. The comments here cover everything really and I can’t really add much in that respect so I’ve chosen to repeat one short comment from above that for me says what I’m thinking. The comment is by Moji Agha. He says,

“Kudos to Ms. Molchany for telling the truth, to savage power!”

I really couldn’t have said it better. Let me add this. The arguments above by people supporting the Israeli regime are vacuous.

I did think of something else while writing this though and I’d like to say something else, just for the record. I don’t support politicians but one has been terribly misquoted in the mainstream media and I actually agree with him though I don’t necessarily agree with his politics. He’s been seriously misquoted on the subject of Israel so just for posterity and for those who may read here after me I’d like to leave his quote with the Farsi translation. As I said, I agree with his perspective on this issue although possibly not others. You may recognize his name, It’s Mahmoud Ahmadenijad. Here’s the quote that’s been misrepresented everywhere.

“The Imam said that this regime occupying Jerusalem (een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods) must vanish from the page of time (bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad).”

  49. Most people think that many Jewish people died in the twin towers but this is not true. It might surprise everyone to know how many Jewish victims there were in New York. Then…there were the Dancing Israeli’s.

What will be said when all the Palestinians are gone? There is no excuse anymore for the extermination of Palestinians and capture of their land.

The real crime is not allowing the world to see what is happening there by satellite and by journalism to document the genocide.

    Who’s next?
