Suspect arrested in Main Street Pawn break-in

Interim Chief Richard Furr says that Front Royal police arrested a male subject early Monday morning in reference to a breaking and entering of a Main Street business.

Police responded to a telephone call at 5:04 AM advising that a subject had broken out a window at the Main Street Pawn, located at 304 East Main Street, and was trying to climb into the window. The business owner, Ralph Waller, confronted the subject, who then fled on foot. Police Corporal S. W. Mauck located the subject in the Peyton Street area and was able to take the subject into custody without incident. A red sweater worn by the subject was found in an alleyway, where the subject had discarded it, by Sergeant J. B. Courtney.

The subject was identified as 25 year old Shyquon Prentice Johnson of 30 West 13th Street, Front Royal. Johnson was charged with breaking and entering and was held without bond at the Warren County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in the Warren County General District Court on March 31, 2009 at 10 AM to answer to the charge.
