Advertise

Thank you for your interest in advertising in Warren/Frederick County Report — your free local newspaper!

Here’s how the process works:

1. Connect with your local ad rep. (listed below)
They’ll help you choose the best ad size and messaging based on your goals. Are you looking to drive phone calls, bring people into your business, raise awareness about a cause, promote an event, or get your campaign noticed? Let us know what success looks like for you.

2. Think strategy — not just size.
Larger ads do grab attention and allow more space for messaging. But repetition beats size. A single full-page ad may be less effective than four quarter-page ads or eight 1/8-page ads spread across multiple issues. We recommend a smart, sustained presence.

3. Reserve your space early.
Ad space and materials are due by Monday of print week. The paper is printed on Thursday night and distributed continuously for two weeks after. Your rep will handle scheduling and send your ad request to our design team.

4. Approve your proof.
Our professional design team will create your ad and send a proof through your rep for approval. You can request changes or supply your own artwork.

Design is free when you run an ad with us, and our team knows how to create high-impact print ads. While DIY designs from Canva or similar tools can work, they may not print as crisply as our in-house work — and web-optimized ads are often poorly suited for print.

5. Payment and billing.
Ads are prepaid unless other arrangements are made. We offer monthly billing for established local businesses and organizations. All political ads must be prepaid.

6. Ad policy.
We reserve the right to refuse any ad for any reason.

Notes for Sales Reps

  • Ad design materials should go to Layout
  • Control Sheet should have ads listed with one of the following: NEW, OUT, PU (pick up last ad run as-is), or Changes. If the ad isn’t in the Control Sheet correctly, it may NOT run. This is very important.
  • Billing should have client billing info before issue prints.
  • Contact Sales Manager Alison or Publisher Dan for this contact info.
