Warren County Sheriff’s Office reports on February 22, 2011 at approximately 11:48 p.m. rescue personnel were dispatched to the Warren County Jail in reference to the attempted suicide of an inmate.
According to Sheriff Daniel T. McEathron, a jailor found the inmate hanging from a bed sheet while making rounds at 11:46 p.m. CPR was immediately performed by jail staff and continued until medical personnel arrived. Medical personnel treated the inmate on the scene before transporting him to Warren Memorial Hospital. He was later transferred to the Winchester Medical Center where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. There was no indication that he would harm himself when the previous jailor made a round at 11:20 p.m.
An immediate family member was notified of the incident.
The inmate has been identified as Jason Eric Brill, 36 years old, with a Linden address at the time of his arrest on February 18, 2011. He was being held without bond on two felony warrants for aggravated sexual battery of a minor less than 13 years of age.
